IEETA offers advanced training programs in close collaboration with the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics (DETI) of the University of Aveiro. Our focus is primarily on PhD programs and MSc courses.
PhD programs
Aligned with the mission of IEETA, two doctoral programs stand out as particularly relevant
- Doctoral Program in Computer Engineering (University of Aveiro)
- MAP Doctoral Program in Computer Science (Joint Program with the Universities of Minho, Aveiro and Porto)
These four-year programs begin with a year of coursework that covers Computer Science, Informatics and Engineering fundamentals while developing specialized skills. In the subsequent years, students focus on original research for their thesis projects in internationally recognized research areas. Graduates are equipped with advanced skills in Computer Science and a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, preparing them for careers as researchers or professionals in Informatics.
Due to the interdisciplinary research developed at IEETA, we are also involved in the scientific guidance of students attending the following doctoral programs.
- Doctoral Program in Electrical Engineering (University of Aveiro)
- Doctoral Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro)
- Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering (University of Aveiro)
